Unlocking Childhood Potential

The 4 Corners
If Your Child Could See Without Using Their Eyes, What Else Might They Be Able To Do?
What is ICU Academy 4 Corners?
ICU Academy is a unique and innovative program that helps children world-wide tap into their innate power and wisdom, bringing into alignment their human mind (logic) and their higher consciousness (creativity) to function in a more balanced way.
We are all born with more than just five senses. Our extra ordinary senses like intuition, inner vision, energetic awareness, and heart coherence are just a natural part of being human, but often ignored in modern societal constructs. These senses allow us to feel energy, sense other people's emotional states, connect with animals, and listen to our own inner guidance. As we slow down, tune in and reconnect with ourselves, these gifts can start to awaken.
Children often access these extra ordinary senses with ease, and when supported, they can develop them into lifelong tools for healing, clarity and connection. These expanded states of awareness can also help Improve other important skills like memory and concentration, attention span, confidence and so much more.
Using fun and pioneering teaching techniques, we gently guide our students to explore life from an entirely new perspective, without the use of their physical eyes. They learn to "consciously see' blindfolded using their own inner light and consciousness, and/or extra ordinary sensory awareness, while often bringing on board their other gifts and talents as well.

The ICU Program Can Help Children to:

Increase confidence, self-esteem, self-respect, and respect for others
Release limiting beliefs and traumas

Expand their consciousness

Reach educational and personal potential

Understand universal human values

Develop their natural gifts
...and How Does The Program Work?
Who is it For?

The ICU Program is for children between the ages of 5-12, who can read and know colors and shapes, depending on their abilities and maturity.
Who Teaches It?

How Often and How Much?

Children are taught 1:1 by ICU Teacher JoAnne Hibbard at the ICU Academy 4 Corners in Durango, Colorado. Children can only be taught in pairs and groups once their level of competency is established.
Children attend between 10-12 one-hour sessions (dependent on their proficiency) either weekly or bi-weekly according to availability. The cost per session is $45. In the case of siblings, a 20% discount will be applied to one.
What Happens in the Sessions?

"It's Not A Super Power. It's An Ability That Anyone Can Do. They Just Have To Learn It!"Â Lucie, 6
-
Each session centers around helping each student feel happy, comfortable and empowered. It is important that they are continually encouraged. Naysayers in their lives can shut this ability down in a heartbeat!
-
The session begins with the student putting on their "mindfold", closing their eyes, and participating in one minute of mindful breathing, then in an energy activation to get them out of their analytical left brain and into their creative, intuitive right brain. Laughter and fun are fundamental to each ICU session.
-
The student is then handed colored paper or a colorful picture book and begins the process of convincing their brains not to use their physical eyes to see but to use other senses instead. Often their eyes itch or water as the brain sends electrical impulses to stimulate the eyes but quickly dissipates when the brain tunes into the intent.
-
Each child is uniquely different. Some start seeing colors the first session, while others may not see until the sixth session or later! Some never see at all, which is OK! This process helps children grow in so many different ways.
-
The progression usually develops with the child's "window" opening just enough to start seeing colors through a small opening in the blackness , then as the window enlarges, they see shapes, images, text and so on. After that, they are off to the races, having full blindfolded vision to put together puzzles, play games, run, bead jewelry, ride their bikes, do school work, fine tuning their intuitive abilities, etc. It is amazing sight to behold!

Durango Parents
Kelly and Nate:
"Because she has gained more confidence, she proudly shows off her new skills to family, friends, and even people she doesn't know well. She is doing great in school with improved reading and math skills. She has even been moved to a higher math group!
Another cool perk is that we have been spending more time playing games (with her blindfolded), which has been a fun way to become even more bonded as a family!"
